Using Slide Styles in ProShow Producer

The styles that you receive from  SeeMona’s blog, as well as from other 3rd party vendors, are packed in a zip file. Your first step is to unzip these styles in a directory of your choice on your computer. You can later delete this directory.
Right click on the zip file and select "Extract all".

Producer can import many styles at once, directly from the program, and with a lot of ease, from the menu Manage Styles.

You can reach this menu from the top of your main screen:  Tools > Manage Effects >Slide Styles
Or,
You can press on the icon FX (Effects) > Slide Styles.

In the new menu that opens, click on "Add" at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Navigate to the directory on your computer where you saved the styles.
You will notice all your new styles, with the extension pxs and having the Proshow icon.

All you need to do is to mark all the styles that you want to add and to press on Open.
The styles will be added to your list of styles and will be available in all your future shows.

In your list of styles, look at the various Categories.
Most of my styles belong to the category SeeMona's Blog, and also to an additional category with the name of the pack.
You may change this category or add to it, so that it would be easy for you to find these styles. Producer allows multiple categories for each style.

How to apply the styles

After inserting your pictures in the slide, double click on your slide in the Slide List or click on FX Effects.
This will bring up the Slide Options Menu. Click on  Slide Style.

You will be able now to see all the styles that are installed in Producer. Select a style that you like, and press on Apply Style.
Your slide will now have all the effects of that slide style.

In Producer, all the slide styles have a short description and brief instructions on how to best use them: duration, number of pictures required, dimensions, etc. Please make sure you read these lines as they are important to the correct functioning of a style.

You will notice that some layers may have images inserted, and other layers are just empty.
You should drag and drop your pictures into the empty layers, usually named "Image" or "photo"
Layers that already have images inserted should not be changed, as they are part of the slide style.

You will also notice that some layers are marked with a blue call out icon . This means that there is additional information for you to read about this particular layer, in addition to the name of the layer.

Select that layer, and go to Layers Setting. Please read this information because it can help you better understand the way the style works, and what kind of picture needs to be placed in that layer.
