Colorize in ProShow Producer

1. Colorize by using the menu "Edit > Colorize"

In this example, we will colorize the off-white frame to a color that will stand out more on the light wood background, let's say, green.

Slide > Slide Options
Or:
Edit Slide

Notice the layers.
Select the layer named "Frame". (Put the mouse on it, so it becomes blue).

Click on ADJUSTMENTS (top of the screen)
Go to Editing Tools (at the right of the screen) and put a check-mark on "Colorize"
Click on the gray rectangular.

This will open the Color Picker menu. Use your mouse to lift the eyedropper, (that little pencil), and to point it on any color on the color wheel. You can choose your color from the wheel itself, or for more precision, from the triangle inside the wheel. Notice that your layer changes color the minute you touch the wheel.

The coolest feature of the eyedropper is that it is not limited to the color wheel. You can point the eyedropper anywhere on your screen, and it will pick up that color, and change the layer accordingly. For example, you can choose any color from your own picture, and apply it to the frame. In this way you get a frame that matches the content of your picture.

More color options can be achieved if you also play with the other Adjustment values: White Point, Black Point, and Brightness.

2. Colorize by using the hue value

Another method for colorizing is to change the Hue value.
In the example below, I changed the color of the sky from blue to purple.

By scrubbing the hue value, Producer will exhibit all the color spectrum that can be achieved from the current one.
Select the color that you like, and when you are done click OK.

Don't forget!
The shade and strength of each color can be adjusted by using the Adjustment menu.
Play with the Brightness, the Black Point and with the White Point, and notice the changes.

Have fun with the colorizing features !
